Heat Of Hydration
Heat of Hydration
Ref. Standard – ASTM C- 186/BS4550
EKE 9934:
The apparatus is used for determination of heat of hydration of a hydraulic cement by measuring the heat of solution of a separate portion of the cement that has been partially hydrated for 7 & 28 days.
The result of this test method may be inaccurate if some of the component of the hydraulic cement are insoluble in the Nitric Acid/ Hydro Fluoric Acid Solution.
The Equipment Consists of:
• Insulated Colorimeter
• Insulated Container
• Reference & Thermometers
• Mixer with Stirrer
The test procedure is explained in detail in ASTM C-186 and interpretation of results, calculations

Flow Table , Electrically Operate
Flow of Mortar and Hydraulic Cement
Flow Table , Electrically Operated
Ref. Standard IS : 5512
EKE 411:
The Flow consists of a brass table top 250 ± 25 mm dia., mounted on a rigid stand. The table top is reinforced with equally spaced ribs and allowed to drop through 12 mm by a ground and hardened cam. The motor Drive assembly using the geared motor box is designed to rotate the cam through the shaft at 100 rpm. Suitable for operation on 220 Volt, 50 Hz, single Phase AC Supply.
Complete with Flow mould 100 mm base dia., 70 mm top dia. and 50 mm high.

Digi Mortar Mixer
Digi Mortar Mixer
EKE 412-4:
Automatic/Manual Mortar Mixer, 5 Litter nominal capacity
Application : Preparation is standard prisms with Automatic/Manual mixing procedure in accordance with IS:10890, EN 196-1 & EN 193-3
This apparatus has specially been designed to prepare cement mortar for strength determination as specified in IS:4031 . It can also be used in mixing lime with pozzolonic materials for determination of lime reactivity (as per IS:1727) and for uniform mixing of soils with additives such as lime, cement, etc.
Special features:
• Microprocessor Control
• Automatic of Manual modes
• Choice of automatic mixing cycles as per EN standard
• User defined Mixing cycle
• Sand Dispenser
• Water Burette
The mixer is designed to mix mortars and cement pastes primarily to the requirements of EN 196. The mixing paddle has a planetary motion and is driven by a motor with a microprocessor based speed and program controller. The mixer can be operated either in an automatic or manual mode. When the mixer is used in the manual mode, the two mixing speeds can be changed by means of a soft touch button, without determination as specified in IS:4031. It can also be used in mixing lime with pozzolonic materials for determination of lime reactivity (as per IS:1727) and for uniform mixing of soils with additives such as lime, cement.
Standard supply includes:
Basic unit with stainless steel mixing bowl and stirrer, program controller with status indiators to run the Mixer in fully Automatic or Manual mixing mode.
Technical Specifications:
Low Speed
• Rotational Speed (rpm) : 140 ±5
• Planetary Speed (rpm) : 60±10
High Speed:
• Rotational Speed (rpm) : 285 ±10
• Planetary Speed (rpm) : 125±10
